Annotation: Learn about Australia from A to Z.
Reaction: Bancroft highlights unusual and unique plant and animal life to Australia with this alphabet book, and uses Aborigine art, with its vivid colors, heavy black lines, and white dots, to show children about the continent.  
Primary early literacy skills: Letter Knowledge. Uses the alphabet as the guide to show different aspects of the Australian flora, fauna, and art. Also uses vocabulary due to inclusion of unusual words like bandicoot, echidna, galah, quoll, and wattle.
Recommended ages: 1 and up.
